Oracles of the Bush is a four day cultural event encompassing live performance of Australian Bush poetry, music and art. The timing of the event purposely coincides with Tenterfield’s brilliant autumn colours providing the perfect backdrop for a truly unique Australian event. Tenterfield’s Oracles of the Bush Committee finds inspiration from the spirit and character of Tenterfield. Each year has a theme and a worthy local person, appropriate to that theme, is honoured as ‘Oracles of the Bush Living Legend’. The annual event brings together community groups and businesses to provide the community with strong economic and social benefits and is organised and conducted entirely by volunteers from varied walks of life.
